Weighing scales measure weight of an object. If you want to send something through shipping, it would be better if you weight your object to avoid unnecessary expenses. Shipping scales are not very expensive and can be found at any office store. 5 pound scale is effective to weigh small objects. The price of 2 hundred pound scale will be high when compared to 5 pounds. Lighter objects like 5 pounds can be shipped through UPS or FedEx as it is cost effective. When shipping heavier objects, you can weigh it from the supplier. Shipping scales have mobility i.e. they can work even without power. They can be used with the help of battery as well as A/C power. Shipping scales are divided into two: Digital shipping scale and mechanical shipping scale. Mechanical scales have springs so they go out of calibration quickly and need adjustment. Digital shipping scales are used to weigh letters, envelops, parcels etc.

Model 350IS and 355IS are intrinsically safe weight indicators. Both are ATEX certified digital weight indicators which are ideal for industrial weighing applications. These models are used in Built in control for filling, dosing, counting and check-weighing. You can choose form LCD, LCD backlit and LED displays. Both instruments can be supplied with either an intrinsically safe power supply or with a rechargeable 200 hr continuous use, long life, battery unit. The battery version makes it practicable to use these instruments with mobile scales and other applications where a mains power source is not available. Battery life is greatest with the LCD display. The 350IS has a five function keypad with zero, print and tare functions etc. The 355IS also includes a numeric keypad to allow set points to be entered when using the instrument for batching or dosing. Two intrinsically safe remote inputs can be used to initiate Tare, Print or Zero.
